The Heritage Video Project
What is it?
Family stories are amongst our most prized and priceless heirlooms. They give us a glimpse into the details of a time long past. Sometimes they are stories of daring and bravery, and sometimes they are quiet moments that help us to understand everyday life for those who came before us. Whatever types of stories you have, we can help you preserve them so that your children and grandchildren can hear the stories you love in your own words and voice, and learn more about the incredible people and lives who led to them.
Our Heritage Video Project lets us work with you to create a professionally-produced film documenting your family stories, photos, and history to be passed down to your family.
Who are we?
We are Leah of Crossroads Historical Research and Joe of Camera Lessons Online, a husband-and-wife team who have long been looking for a way to combine our unique skill sets to provide a new and valuable product for our clients.
Step 1: We come to you for a pre-interview consultation. While Joe scouts the location for the best spot to film and begins scanning family photos, Leah will meet with you to discuss what topics and stories you'd like preserved, and which parts of the family you would like further researched.
Step 2: Leah gets to work researching your family history. She will dig up as many documents and as much information as possible within the allotted time.
Step 3: We return to you for the big interview (or interviews). Leah will take you through your family history and stories while Joe films.
Step 4: With information, footage, and digitized photos in hand, Joe and Leah will edit together a polished, professional film that forever preserves your cherished history.
